Meet Sammy! The cute Kids First Coding & Robotics robot that teaches programming principles and develops STEM skills in preschoolers!

The “Golden Pin 2018” Design Award, one of the most important awards related to product design, was awarded to the KIDS FIRST CODING & ROBOTICS educational package.

It does not require a tablet, smartphone or computer to program. Programs are created simply with a series of command cards that create the algorithmic “path”. As the robot passes over the command cards, a sensor on the bottom of the robot reads them one by one and loads the program. Then, you place the robot on a track you have created and the robot runs the program. You can program the robot to move in different directions, activate the gear, turn on the LED lights, play sounds and respond to different action cards. The built-in gear allows for the construction of simple robotic structures with arms or other moving parts that respond according to the program’s instructions.

With KIDS FIRST CODING & ROBOTICS you can also teach your young learners physics, engineering, and problem-solving skills through a series of building and programming lessons. The 34 lessons align with the standards for computer science education developed by the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE), as well as lessons from Code.org. The lessons are developed through an illustrated activity guide, making the kit suitable for children aged four and up with adult assistance and up to eight years old. The lessons cover these six key areas in programming: sequencing, iteration, events, conditions, functions, and variables.

In addition to Sammy, there are five other stories, each featuring a series of construction models, programming challenges and lessons related to the following themes: a mouse navigates through a maze to find cheese, a penguin wanders around a zoo, a soccer player moves a ball into the goal, a fire truck puts out a fire and a factory robot performs tasks in a factory environment. The full-color illustrated activity guide guides the user through the programming lessons and assembly of the various models.

The box includes:

-30 story cards for children to create different tracks

-120 programming cards

-1 unit – base

-variety of blocks for building different models

-Guide with 34 lessons

STEM toys for children.
