HOW IT WORKS: The motor, powered by the batteries, turns the gears inside the arm. The motor spins quite fast, while the gears slow it down. Pressing the right button activates a switch that makes the motor move in one direction. This engages a set of gears that turn the large cam wheel on the arm frame. As the cam rotates, its pin moves up and down in the shoulder socket. This also makes the arm move up and down. Pressing the left button reverses the direction in which the motor spins. This engages a different set of gears that turn the small cam wheel on the arm frame. As the cam rotates, its pin moves up and down in the shoulder socket. This causes the arm to move up and down.
